Brave New World
Harmonizing Online and Offline Experiences, Bits and Atoms
2019 - Ongoing
As the ecosystem of human experiences shifts ever more towards the digital and away from physical infrastructure, I am interested in learning how to merge and integrate the two worlds. It seems today that architects and software developers are only looking at two different sides of the same story, describing an elephant blind-folded. However, they are both correct and equally important. How can digital systems complement existing structures? How can the lessons and experience of the built environment inform digital interfaces? My goal is to become a digitally native designer, in order to become a better designer offline and online. Mastering digital craftsmanship is the job of today's architect. We are, at the very end, trying to elevate the human experience, no matter the medium (bits or atoms) we choose.
